DSG7 0B5 (DL501) is a seven-speed robotic transmission with dual wet clutch that allows gear shifting without interrupting the power flow. The clutch is used to transmit torque to the input shaft. The double clutch allows the transmission of torque alternately to the two circuits of the input shaft.

The dl501 clutch consists of two packages: K1 and K2. The clutch is located in oil bath and consists of a set of clutches, a set of steel discs, baskets, and pistons. The mechatronics solenoid valves apply pressure to the clutch, the clutch is depressed, and the 1-3-5-7 gear package and the 2-4-6 reverse gear package are activated. The average DSG7 0B5 clutch resource is around 100- 120 thousand km.
